The author should hand his unlocked phone, location history, and audio recorded from his in-house microphones to a hostile police officer and see just how long it takes for them to find something actionable. Some time in county jail, spending $10-$20k on an attorney just to (hopefully) get the charges dropped, and some time in court might disabuse him of his dangerous, deeply ignorant, and grossly misplaced faith in governmental authority.
