- bell-cot 4y agoVery amusing that I found no mention of social class, and scarcely any of gender. Vs. I'm rather sure the reality was "only press lower-class men". Professionals, businessmen, members of the clergy or gentry - back in the day, it would never need be said the press gangs wouldn't touch them.
