This project is out of universities which in my experience usually have Solidworks licenses, plus some students using F360 because they were already using it before joining the university. I went to one of the author's universities (Tohoku) and indeed Solidworks was generally used there. The animations look too good to me to come from such software though. Maybe they used blender.
