It is not just about luxury treatment - it is simply more space for parent with a baby. Babies have to fly on the same seat as parent. We even tried couple times to buy a seat for <2yo baby, just to have extra storage for the diaper bag, some play, etc, and airline companies refused.
- chinabot 4y agoCan you buy 2 economy seats, would seem a better and cheaper solution
- hippich 4y agoThat precisely what we were trying to do. Nope, airline refused to sell. (On the way back plane was half empty, so it was much easier and did not cost a penny :))
- jelliclesfarm 4y agoI don’t hate children, but it’s very difficult to love another’s noisy infant. Especially on a long flight. Makes me wonder..what is the right age for a child to fly? Not as a hard and fast rule but from pov of etiquette.
- hippich 4y agoThey can't fly on your private jet unless you invited them. Otherwise it is up to airline. And I bet none of them will take the side "flying with child in first class is unethical"

- jelliclesfarm 4y agoIt is also inconsiderate to the babies. They can’t verbalize their discomfort and cabin pressure must be sensitive to their ears. Perhaps doctors should discourage young parents from flying with their infants around.
- hippich 4y agoI am pretty sure most young parents are already quite discouraged just from the idea of flying with an infant... And few unimpressed are actually lucky ones whom will not bother you on a plane cos their kid will be sleeping the whole way. Rare tho.
