London to Berlin sleeper rail service from May 2023
- TillE 4y agoDespite the marketing, it seems like the company isn't offering anything more than a Brussels to Berlin sleeper. You still pay for Eurostar somehow, which is about €40 each way. So unfortunately, EasyJet is still much cheaper.
- precommunicator 4y agoEven in Eastern Europe, from my observations, budget airlines are almost always cheaper than sleeper trains. Still, I sometimes choose sleeper, no security, and you can arrive at the station literally at the moment trains pulls in, and not a second earlier.
- adammarples 4y agoEurostar there's a little wait for security in my experience. Intercities de nuit had some restrictions on turning up too late too, at least during covid.
- ThePowerOfFuet 4y agoYou can show up 2 min before your Intercités de Nuit departs.
- pestatije 4y agoWow, it won't be a good sleep if you have to change trains at Brussels.
- Symbiote 4y agoThe timetable is here, the train leaves Brussels at 19:22. London to Brussels is only 2 hours, so ideally you'd want a train arriving at Brussels at about 19:00. With the current timetable, the train from London arrives at 18:05, which is hardly ideal. (However, I don't see any promotion of the connection to London on the website.) https://www.europeansleeper.eu/en/coming-soon https://www.europeansleeper.eu/en/coming-soon
