How Germany is kicking its meat habit
- lionkor 4y agoIve tried the Rügenwalder Mühle vegetarian alternatives, the "fake meat", if you will. I eat a lot of meat, but you could have fooled me for sure. Its genuinely really good.
- MrJohz 4y agoI've heard this a few times before, but I think it says more about the quality of meat that people are eating here. Particularly the "Lyoner"-style ham - it feels just as artificial and processed if you buy it with or without meat. That said, Rügenwalder are pretty good for the basics, and the mince and sausages are good in dishes where you're going to add a lot of flavour anyway.
- DrNosferatu 4y agoThis will never succeed: Germany is irreformably Porkocentric!
- oxfeed65261 4y agoInterestingly, chicken consumption is up and beef consumption is flat. Pork consumption is down, but remains far higher than beef or chicken.
