http and tcp aren’t very comparable. Anyway, the whole OSI has problems. If it were up to me, I’d redo IP to include named ports and see what follows.

- boramalper 4y agoOf course, I was alluding to HTTP's ubiquity. If you want your protocol to be used in browsers you need to speak their language. I'm claiming that it's not something to overlook, especially since asking people to install and run additional software standalone/alongside is impractical.
