Weight loss has been the hardest thing I've done in my life so far.
Going to college? Easy in comparison. Getting a good job? Was a lot of work but I did it. Losing weight? Something I've been struggling with for 12 years.
2022 was the first time I ever saw dramatic success - I lost 75 pounds. Sure I've got another 140 to go, but 1/3rd of the way is nothing to be ashamed of.
Had to completely reinvent my life and the hardest part was learning to love a healthier lifestyle - reworking my mind to no longer consider exercising as an uninteresting and painful chore, to actually enjoy it. Learning that it was okay to be hungry. Taking advantage of work from home so that all my breaks were me going outside and exercising. Dropping the "using food as a coping mechanism" thing.
But wow, the results are incredible. I'm still a fat shit by any metric, but I feel so much better than I did last year. I'm genuinely excited to learn how I feel when I'm done.
