CEOs from Musk to Dimon fought to bring workers back to the office in 2022
- sys_64738 4y agoNah. These attempts are power plays but lots of folk really don't care for being in a cube again.
- wkat4242 4y agoMy work is also trying to force this crap. The only reason I haven't moved yet is that I'm hoping to get redundancy at some point, which will be a great help for stability as I've worked here for 12 years. If I start somewhere fresh on my own initiative I will have a probation period and if I don't make it I get nothing. But my remaining motivation is below zero now. We've shown we can work from home just as effectively and my team is international anyway. I'm not going to run into them in the hallway even if I am at the office. At the same time we no longer have fixed desks and we have this ridiculously unusable system called planon to reserve desks. So I feel really unwanted at the office anyway.
