Except the students largely do not support freedom of expression. The issue is administrators bowing to student outcry.
- alwayslikethis 4y agoAre you sure? I think while there are a lot of vocal "woke" students, there is still a large but less vocal group of students who would support freedom of expression when given a chance to do so.
- jojobas 4y agoGiven the amount of demand for MIT they can afford to shed the students that don't support freedom of expression (then again, MIT is not Oberlin so I doubt there are many pro-censorship student).
- alwayslikethis 4y agoYeah. If there aren't enough top American students, there would be a lot more foreign students who would cherish their freedoms more, having experienced the consequences of the lack of freedom in their home country such as China, Russia, or Iran.
