To be clear, when referring to the paper option, I'm not referring to mail and great quantities of it in one delivery past the point where a route has too many unique streets or roads for a person to recall with much accuracy.
However a person could digitally, using gps, the right script and cross referencing with say Apple's (location) maps, easily check the gps and address matches a known address, and perhaps if they have a reporting system, if there's address nearby that's had problems with deliveries previously. Those that don't require move scrutiny to discover the right place and better path to get there. As I mentioned in the earlier dupe, I actually spent 6 months or so in my youth delivering white goods, I'm aware of some of the pitfalls with poor instructions.
Most of the time the gps data might be irrelevant, we have road markers now eg [1] [2], but there would be times when it's very important for this information to be passed on to the delivery company. Case in point for non local delivery companies, when access down a no through side road is near impossible for bigger trucks to navigate some twisting and or steep incline to drop off a delivery only to find there's not enough room to turn around.
