If its dependency on energy (and it's cost) is considered a fatal flaw, then all industries are subject to this flaw; just with varying degrees of reliance. Energy is the fundamental thing that dominates most industries and societal capabilities.
- europeanguy 4y agoI think it's not just "depends on energy". It's more that it's very very energy inefficient. In fact, I expected that something this energy inefficient would be economically unfeasible - I'm surprised people are still attempting this, but what do I know.
