I thought Elon having his arm in there up to the elbow was considered part of the problem.
Now that he has shoved said arm up somewhere else, Tesla should be a bit more free of his grip? Or is the removal as painful as the insertion?
- Zigurd 4y agoWhere credit is due: Elon hyped things like self-driving, and that gave Tesla access to cheap capital. It's possible, even likely that Tesla would just be a niche luxury car maker without elon's reality distortion field giving it access to capital to build big factories all over the planet. You could even say it succeeded too well. Even with the decline in Tesla stock price, it's still valued at something like 2 times the valuation of Toyota. That is still preposterous. Just like beyond meat is a food company, Tesla is a car company. You might value it more like Porsche than Toyota per unit built and sold. But it's still just a car company.
