Military/Spy fanfiction with just enough receipts (ie. yes there really is partisan activity in Russia) to keep it out of the John Clancy bookshelf. Even if it's true I absolutely love how everyone of these special forces veterans goes straight to endangering their former colleagues just for 5 minutes of fame. I wonder what they would say if they were still active.
- hindsightbias 4y agoWas he one of thirty who claimed to have shot OBL? Decades back, if you met someone at a bar who said they were SF, they were lying. There weren’t many in SF and those who were didn’t brag. Today, with ~90K in SF and the turnover being pretty high, there are more SF vets than there are bartenders. It’s not so special anymore.
