Show HN: Twitter Graph - Like Google Trends but for Twitter
Simply enter a word and generate a graph showing the number of mentions on Twitter
- TekMol 4y agoWhat was your motivation to build it? What are your future plans with it?
- noelblanc 4y agoMy motivation : for the technical challenge, and because I wanted a way to visualise how much real world events are mentioned on Twitter ! Not really planning to develop this project further, I wanted to post it on HN just to see if people find it interesting.
- cweill 4y agoHow far back can this go? Would you be able to do 1-3 years of daily data?
- noelblanc 4y agoNot very far unfortunately, up to 7 days in the past with my version of Twitter API access. I could have more data with academic/entreprise access. https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api/tweets/counts/migrate https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api/tweets/cou...
- indiandude11 4y agoGood one. Possible to build where there could be a comparison? or even a version where if you give one keyword, similar keywords could be identified and a common graph could be visualized. I have a need for this kind of visualization for political analytics.
- noelblanc 4y agoWhy not ! I'll add this feature when I have time :) Can you tell me more about your need for political analytics ?
- chrisked 4y agoWanted to search for a stock ticker symbol starting with $. This produces and an internal server error.
- noelblanc 4y agoThanks for letting me know, I wasn't aware of that, unfortunately I would need Premium API access to support cashtags and hashtags (I opted for the free plan...)
