What rss readers for linux can you recommend?
- bertman 4y agoSelf-hosted Miniflux, dead-easy, just works. https://miniflux.app/ https://miniflux.app/
- obrhoff 4y agoAlso my favorite, I used to host it by myself but went now for the hosted version. the only improvement I would like, would be better full site scrapping. anyway I mostly consume rss through an api (into reeder).
- rodric 4y agoNewsFlash: https://gitlab.com/news-flash/news_flash_gtk https://gitlab.com/news-flash/news_flash_gtk
- lexoj 4y agoMy own tool which creates a daily digest, easy to setup, just run it: https://github.com/piqoni/matcha https://github.com/piqoni/matcha It will generate RSS in markdown which can be read by something like Obsidian. It supports also Terminal mode.
- puffybuf 4y agoI looked into this. Obsidian uses a proprietary license and is not open source.
- hobbsy2 4y agoNewsboat is an excellent command line feed reader for Linux: https://newsboat.org/ https://newsboat.org/ https://github.com/newsboat/newsboat https://github.com/newsboat/newsboat
