Like earthquakes it seems the longer you get away with it, the worse
it's gonna be. If heeding the "sand pile" model our problem with
digital technology might be that it's too good (bad in the context of
normal accident theory). If time between failure is so large, we may
have yet to encounter our first, which will come when our systems are
too fragile/dependent. Suggests we should try harder to break things
from time to time?
