If that’s the case, why did they have to put it in the Kernel? Couldn’t it have just been userland?
- sanxiyn 4y agoIt seems ksmbd developers are mostly interested in use cases like SMB Direct which benefits from in-kernel implementation, but most ksmbd users are, at this point, interested in avoiding GPLv3.
