I have taken prescription pills that have so much dark blue coloring in the coating, it motivated me to call the pharmacy and ask for a different generic brand where the pills are white. I get that drug manufacturers are trying to distinguish different meds, but putting this much coloring in pill coatings seems like a really bad idea. If long-term use of the medicine doesn't cause problems because of side effects, the deep color in the pill coating might!
