Oh neat. I have not used Pixelmator since my company agreed to pay for Creative Cloud, I’ll have to check this out. I am personally super excited about uses of AI for restoring less than perfect old media. I played with a model in a similar vein for deinterlacing old TV and DVDs several months ago. The results were mixed. Some things came out looking fantastic but some things came out looking worse than traditional methods like yadiff. I need an AI that can tell me which method is going to work better so I don’t have to do both and manually make a subjective decision.
