Delivery Drivers Can’t Find Your House Number
- anenefan 4y agohttps://archive.ph/ZI7hh https://archive.ph/ZI7hh Yeah I had a delivery job for about 6 months, I feel for those delivery guys ... common sense would be clearly marking the driveway in high vis paint but when I read things like some Home owners association limiting number colours to a few shades darker than the house colour ... Thank goodness in Australia we don't see that sort of BS. Still I've driven down long streets looking for the number, spotting one in the double digits and the next one I'd spot would be three digits, my cheat back then when paper ruled, was the local yellow pages book for the area, and pick a prominent business to see its address and work from there. Present day, many started to rely on online maps, eventually google location was adopted by many businesses. Sadly google location is well and truly broken up my way, so much so, in the end for many unfortunate rural communities, no more home deliveries, drivers simply leave parcels at the local post office or nearest rural store that agreed to be a drop off point. Apple's location works, but few delivery business have adopted it.
