You definitely can manually set the lock at least on most ovens I’ve seen in the UK and Europe, it’s sometimes not obvious but they do have a “child lock” just like most electric cooking hobs.
- morsch 4y agoMost ovens, including mine, have a child lock function, but at least on mine it does not engage the physical door lock (ie. you can still open the oven door), it just locks out the controls.
