- vladvasiliu 4y agoWhat do you mean by "scientific modes"? Jupyter notebooks? I've never used that, so I don't know what it is exactly nor how to compare. But, although the product comparison page [0] says idea lacks it, there's a doc page that says it has it [1]. It also shows up in the settings window of my IdeaU with Python plugin. According to this other comparison page [2], it would actually seem that the Idea plugin does more than Pycharm. - selfmodruntime 4y agoNo, scientific mode means you can have PyCharm show dataframes like tables or all available plots even without working in a JPN
