- ezekg 4y agoRed dye 40 severely effects my 3 y/o. She's a screaming mess not 30 mins after she eats anything with Red 40. Thankfully, we've completely removed any and all artificial dyes from our diet, trying to stay organic as much possible. I can't fathom a good reason as to why artificial dyes like Red 40 and Yellow 5 are not outright banned in the US as a neurotoxin.
