Unfortunately for anyone making a fuss about this, most suburbs tolerate the scourge of gas powered leaf-blowers every weekend, starting at an ungodly hour, and they're often louder than an angle grinder. Edit: my point is just that it's weird to police car maintenance specifically, rather than general noise ordinances and/or HOA rules (for people who choose to have an HOA).
