Diversity is not woke. Having a diverse cast of characters, employees, etc, is neither woke nor in any way bad.
“Woke” means using minorities and their very real struggles as pawns in a political debate, a corporate marketing campaign, a movie release, etc.
Woke is the corporatization and exploitation of people based on their gender, race, sexuality, etc.
A lot of people see through the scam and that’s why there’s pushback.
- inphovore 4y agoIts like the “war on drugs”. On one side you have these uptight squares who think homogeneous equates to goodness ready to drop bombs and send in troops against … a bunch of dope smokers, white powder socialites, and sad people with chemical escape issues. The idea of a common enemy you can destroy (or regulate) into submission is simply delusional facade on so many levels.
