It's not a threat until AI can start creating new ideas in a vacuum. As it stands, they require our creative output and all of their outputs can be considered derived works. It's very effective, but it's still dependent on INPUT (human) -> OUTPUT (AI).
- aqfamnzc 4y agoCan you create a new idea in a vacuum? We humans also seed our creative RNGs from the world around us and from sources like memories and real-time sensory input.
- deafpolygon 4y agoI'm not disputing that, but humans can create new ideas from what appears to be nothing. AI is still limited in that the ideas they generate are essentially remixes of pre-existing ideas fed to the AI.
