- ilyt 4y agoI struggle to find use case? It seems to inherit MIDI flaws and...not be compatible with it aside from maybe making MIDI device that sees it do something funny ? Like, the MIDI format is pretty elegant and easy to decide but why inherit limitations of 14 bit numbers and continue using "sysex" as kludge to drive everything ? Keep the format of <command><channel> (really, <channel><command> is probably better for decoding but whatever) but then instead of the silliness of 7/14 bit encode rest of the parameters properly
