I don't think there's anything wrong with arranged marriages, just forced marriages. I know that sometimes it is both, however arranged-but-unforced marriages are more common.
- nonrandomstring 4y agoAgreed. They can work out very well if consensual. Indeed plenty of young British Asians are supportive of the traditions. It's when it goes wrong that the wheels fall off, and usually it's women who come under immense pressure or physical threat.
