It's known that tech recruiting has its most active months in spring/summer. Its more in line with the school year[1] than the calendar year. [1]: probably because parents don't like big changes while their kids are on a schedule and because new grads, and possibly (on a more evolutionary-biological level) because people are more active after winter as they begin foraging/farming/building, venturing out, etc.
