This is… one perspective. I personally think it's pretty judgmental and don't think it's a particularly insightful one. Wholesome people have all sorts of lifestyles and habits. Even ones you disagree with. Wholesome people drink, and alcohol is certainly a drug. I have known many, many wholesome people who drink and do drugs—generally in moderation—and it doesn't have to negatively impact other aspects of their life. Most people are like this. But there are also wholesome people who go through difficult periods of their life and choose to self-medicate. Maybe you believe that act isn't wholesome, but it doesn't by itself need to invalidate your entire evaluation of a person.
