- themanmaran 4y agoCertainly the most prominent landlady in my mind. But I also had a landlady for several years in SF. And that's how I referred to her. I didn't think it too strange.
- bee_rider 4y agoShe’s like a badass or something in that movie, right? I feel vaguely like that was a sendup of a trope that is like: a landlady who kind of harries the main character but isn’t taken very seriously because she’s a woman. But that idea doesn’t resonate as much anymore (which is good!), so the sendup loses some grounding.
