There are far more elegant, insidious ways to destroy SOPA using the powers that SOPA opponents possess than something as cheap as a blackout. I do like the idea of PR hype surrounding the threat of blackout though. Just publicizing the potential threat of the 'nuclear option' in the press for a week should be enough to get congress to back off.
