France bans disposable packaging, utensils in fast-food restaurants
- docdeek 4y agoThe key modifier - in the first paragraph but not the headline - is that it applies for dine-in meals at those restaurants only. If you eat in at McDo you'll get a reusable cup but your take-away order will be as it always has been.
- nikolay 4y agoAlthough I agree with this to a big extent, washing silverware is not without a toll on the environment either. You also must worry about the hygiene and the chemicals they use to wash it - recently there was a post here about the toxicity of dishwashers. Not that plasticware doesn't come with microplastics pollution and hormonal disrupting chemicals though.
