The term "wild" has been used to refer to indigenous peoples for centuries; it has also been used to describe foreigners, and people with mental health issues, for even longer.
The term "surprising" has a lot of connotations too.

- fleddr 4y agoThe funny thing is that the replacement word inevitably becomes insulting. For example, when you say to your friend that he's very "special", we all know what's up.
