Both are relevant for me. It's about focusing on the listening, but in some cases many albums are getting better masters on vinyl than any other format. It's technically stupid but it is what it is. What's so stupid about the audiophile aspect of vinyl is most of the new ones I bought are dirty. You have to clean them right out of the package if you want them to sound good. Something is very sloppy about production right now. CDs are about a million times more robust.
