Did we ever find out how much the UK is paying Rwanda to take these people? Presumably Rwanda isn't dealing with the UK's dirty laundry for free...

The Migration Observatory (https://migrationobservatory.ox.ac.uk/resources/commentaries/qa-the-uks-policy-to-send-asylum-seekers-to-rwanda/ https://migrationobservatory.ox.ac.uk/resources/commentaries... costs section) also cites the GBP 120m figure, along with a citation of Select committee evidence that there will be further per-person costs to HMG.

  How many people does that pay for? I could probably buy those people a lifelong holiday in a nice resort for that kind of money...

A research briefing document from the House Of Common Library (https://researchbriefings.files.parliament.uk/documents/CBP-9568/CBP-9568.pdf https://researchbriefings.files.parliament.uk/documents/CBP-...) states that the Memorandum of Understanding on which the scheme relies states no upper limit on the amount of people that can be sent to Rwanda.

140 million to sign the deal with Rwanda. Will cost 100k GBP per applicant. Rwanda will 'process' 200 applicants a year. Clearly that doesn't come close to solving anything and is expensive.
