I think a lot just don't say they are and use dog whistles and such. They want to radicalise the "norms", and they know that the vast majority will just won't pay attention if they come out saying they're a nazi straight away.
When the Ye things happened I got in an argument with a holocaust denier on Twitter, and looking at their profile that's all they ever talked about. They never said they were a nazi, but they never gave an answer to it when I asked. It was "just asking questions".
