My car is a decade and a half old, and still works well enough. Not having to visit a gas station ever, would be kinda nice. Having to get a rental for longer trips once or twice a year would be mildly annoying. A hybrid with enough battery range for daily use would probably be fine. An EV that can be hybridified with a generator on a trailer would probably also be fine.
