Elon Musk blamed a Twitter account for a stalker. Police see no link

- Blue111 4y agoWhy do you have to worry about stalkers when you are a billionaire? Money should solve that problem quickly.
- wmf 4y agoI guess 24x7 security for all ten kids really adds up.
- likeclockwork 4y agoPeople really shouldn't have kids if they can't afford to provide for them. It's so irresponsible.
- quantified 4y agoHow can police know more about policing than Musk? They're not rich, obviously they're not as capable or smart. </sarcasm> But let's see what duelling security teams learn. Police investigations can miss things, I'd be interested in what a motivated independent team could turn up. Separately, will Musk be tracking Teslas whose drivers tweet bad things about him?
- zimpenfish 4y agoIs this a fair summary? 1) no proof that children were there, 2) no proof that the stalker used the ElonJet account, 3) no crime report has been filed, and 4) the stalker is actually stalking Grimes and therefore, given the current relationship status, the ElonJet account is probably not that helpful for "assassination coordinates".
- dzhiurgis 4y agoHow does police supposed to get evidence without an arrest?
- Zigurd 4y agoI would add that nobody was willing to sign their name to a police report corresponding to Elon's tweets about what happened.
- neuronexmachina 4y agoAdding to (2), the ElonJet account didn't even post any tweets the day of the incident -- the last post was around 24 hours earlier.
