- mschuster91 4y agoMastodon lacks one very important thing: global trends, the most important tool for minorities and the oppressed to call for attention. So many crimes got the spotlight because of that, and Mastodon by design can't replicate it.
- barathr 4y agoGlobal trends are happening there nevertheless -- we've seen a few happen already.
- mschuster91 4y agoYeah indeed, but it's so much harder for something to gain traction on Mastodon vs on Twitter and its country specific trends.
- dredmorbius 4y agoMastodon does have trending hashtags, which can be enabled on instances. There's no feed interface to that as yet, AFAIK.
- EamonnMR 4y agoIt's hard to surface stuff there, got any good devs to follow?
