That's why the first thing you do once Ubuntu is installed is remove snap completely. It's sad that now we have to fight against the OS like on Windows.

- doodlesdev 4y agoYou don't, you still have the option to switch distros. Stop being a slave to Canonica. With Ubuntu and Snap, Linux is no better than Windows. Try Linux Mint, Debian, Fedora, Arch, openSUSE. Options is something we're not short on in the Linux space.
- timbit42 4y agoBut when you remove Snaps, how do you install the apps Snap was providing? I recommend Linux Mint which has no Snaps and everything is in the repo as normal.
