The Two Biggest Enemies of Indoor Farming
- zeristor 4y agoIt starts off talking about the pric of energy. Then mentions hype and due diligence at the end. Due diligence I would assume will improve as the learning curve pays back. Part of the reason for indoor farming is to be situated in high population density, which is counter to cheap electricity since there’s high demand. Laying out these issues, and maybe pausing to reflect on them I trust can end up generating new strategic avenues.

And even that doesn’t boast of a great profit margin since legalization. These guys are talking CEA. Strawberries may be the best crop, but not without automating harvest too. The entire supply chain has to be captured. Right now, they are just capturing data. What use is it if it doesn’t translate to actual profit? I do not know even one indoor ag outfit that has made a single red cent of profit.
