Collaboration is tricky. How much time you spend on it is really important. My rule of thumb is 5% of your time is optimum. More than that and the benefits start going down. Too much and you kill productivity. I have worked for a dysfunctional company that was so busy collaborating that nothing ever got done. Most large organisations seems to “work” that way. Lots of meetings, reports, feedback and other “collaborations” resulting in nothing getting actually done.
