Twitter Bans Mastodon and Blocks Links to Mastodon Servers

Yet another reason to not support Musk for any of his endeavors...

I think by the time Musk is done we’re going to have to rename the Streisand effect in his honor.

Yeah this is self inflicted. Mastodon is not a serious threat to Twitter, but blocking it makes it seem like it is. Is there an official explanation from Twitter?

  > Twitter also appears to be blocking tweets linking to many major Mastodon servers Just run your own Mastodon instance or hop onto new one, that's not blocked. They cannot block them all. That's the best feature of Fediverse.

They also seem to be blocking Pixelfed links too. Pixelfed is even less of a Twitter competitor that Mastodon, it's more of a Flickr and instagram alternative. https://twitter.com/PixelFed/status/1603679475254067200?s=20&t=1oWHiaSMCmv_MxocAeBSGA https://twitter.com/PixelFed/status/1603679475254067200?s=20...
