I was extremely impressed by Uniqlo’s self checkout recently in New York City. You dump all your stuff into a bin and it displays the total price. You then pay and leave. I assume this means every item has a serialized RFID tag embedded somewhere, since it can tell you have x number of SKU a, y number of SKU b, etc. Pretty cool IMO
