I would think the fact that annual bonuses are often paid early in the new year is a big factor in this as well.
- GoOnThenDoTell 4y agoI had assumed that March was the common time, such as after perf review feedback is collated
- VagueMag 4y agoRight, but the reviews take place toward end of year or in January, and it doesn't make sense to go through that process and include employees you're about to fire in the bonus pool.
