- jraph 4y agoYou are conditioned to be polite with human beings, and that conditioning also works for entities that behave sufficiently like them. A dog bringing the journal is probably also one of these entities by the way.
- zqfuz 4y agoWhen you pet the dog after he brings you your journal he probably feels the same thing as when you thank a human.
