The answer is not to sell back to the grid. The answer is to make the grid irrelevant and get off it. Especially in Cali with all the sunshine they get.

- JoeAltmaier 4y agoI suspect rooftop solar for most folks isn't producing electricity when they need it, at least not enough to satisfy their peak demand. That leaves PG&E buying your excess at exactly the time of day they don't need it. And you continue to pull load at peak demand (like everybody else) so you need the grid connection. It's a lose all around for PG&E. This change recognizes that.
