It’s pointless like a lot of other animals we eat, they don’t have to die but we only kill them for our pleasure.
Picking elephants removes the fact that finning is done for culinary reasons. Sure it’s a delicacy but so are many other animals that are being eaten.
- numpad0 4y ago> they don’t have to die but we only kill them for our pleasure. Debatable, cheap foods seem to straight up allow me lesser cognitive abilities than “better” ones. Personally I think we should seek to maximize positive effect of life including those of animals eaten, rather than chasing calories and counting skulls.
